Cars 2 Review
It looks like that gang is all back for another round of fun, hilarity, and a little game of tipping. Give it up for Cars 2. A movie that is more then meets the eye. The movie's story line doesn't really surround Lightning McQueen or even racing for that matter. It surrounds Matter the tow truck voiced by Larry The Cable guy. Let me Explain.
After messing up with McQueen's chances at winning a race McQueen has had enough of Mater's goofy actions. Feeling bad for messing the race up Mater leaves for home but gets into this whole web of spies. The main spy is Fin McMissile and his Partner Holley Shiftwell. The two spies along with mater, which by the way we all know he isn't a secret agent of anything McMissile and Shiftwell mistakes Mater for a secret agent. So They go and try to stop this evil plan by a lemon car by the name of Sir Miles Axlerod. Who is also the creator of a new fuel that is better for the environment and a grand prix of races. Well he wants to destroy these cars to make people believe that something is wrong with the new fuel so all the cars will go back to normal, regular gasoline.
So, after a lot of chasing, funny scenes and mater not even sure what is truly going on, he takes it upon himself to save McQueen from Axlerod.
If your expecting a movie surrounding Lightning McQueen and lots of racing you will be sorely disappointed. Most of the movie isn't really focused on him but on Mater saving McQueen, taking down a very angry and hurt lemon car. But, if you just want to be entertained with hilarity and some adult thoughts, yes even though its a cartoon there are several parts that a kid may not get that an adult would automatically understand. Then this movie is for you.
The scenes are crafted so perfectly. From the buildings to the sky to the grass, it all looks wonderful and very life like. The voice acting is done quite well and there is a lot of funny parts in it. I believe the reason why the movie isn't getting a higher rating on the film is because McQueen isn't the main
character and there isn't much in the way of racing. The Movie is focused on Mater this time and that isn't a bad thing at all. Id give it 3 Maters out of 4.

I noticed that a lot of those who watched the film were disappointed because it focused on Mater, who is largely considered as the foil of the story, instead of the main protagonist Lightning McQueen. But for me, their roles complement each other. Even though the story took an unusual twist, the story is still centered on their friendship.
